Our Sources
Vineyards
With over 20 years of experience tasting wines from various appellations across Napa and Sonoma Valleys, we’ve meticulously selected the best vineyards to work with. Our commitment to quality drives us to source small quantities of fruit from some of the most esteemed vineyards, resulting in limited production, high-quality wines.
Pinot Noir – Russian River Valley
Our Pinot Noir is sourced from two of our favorite vineyards in the Russian River Valley. Known for its cooler climate and heavy fog influenced by the Pacific Ocean, this region is ideal for growing Pinot Noir. Russian River Valley is characteristically a cooler climate, affected by heavy fog, due to the close proximity to the Pacific Ocean, making it the perfect place to grow Pinot Noir. The fertile soils here contribute to fruit with distinct earthiness and minerality. These vineyards are dry-farmed, leading to balanced vines and concentrated fruit with layers of complexity. The combination of rich soil, moderate winters, abundant sunshine, and evening fog produces Pinot Noir with full, mature flavors and natural acidity. Our blend includes clones 777, 667, and 115, which together create a wine that truly reflects the essence of this remarkable region.
Merlot & Cabernet Sauvignon – Calistoga AVA
Our Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon are sourced from select vineyards in the Calistoga AVA, including a family favorite we’ve cherished for over 20 years. Being able to utilize this fruit makes our wine even more special to us. Located in the northern part of Napa Valley, the Calistoga AVA is characterized by a hot, dry microclimate with occasional morning fog and distinct volcanic soil. This unique environment enhances the character of claret varietals like Cabernet and Merlot. The hot days develop intense color and flavor, while the cool nights preserve the fruits acidity and structure. The result is expressive, high-quality wines that are delightfully fruit-forward with balanced acidity.
